Our Company Policy on Factory Special Orders (Pre-Orders)

This policy applies only when items are on order from the factory in Poland. Given the time required by the artists at the factory to produce these museum quality pieces (approximately 4 to 6 months for Unikat products) and the time required for container shipment overseas (approximately 6 to 8 weeks), customers place a factory order with the understanding that it may require a lengthy waiting period before their order arrives. Cancellation of a Customer's special factory order is not possible once placed with us. These orders are considered to be custom orders and as such cannot be cancelled. If cancelled the deposit payment is non-refundable.

Retail customers: A 10% down payment on an order applies to a factory special customer order. If desired the balance may be paid in two installments: 40% is due in 60 days, and the remaining 50% is due when notified by us of the arrival of the order. A shipping estimate may or may not be included in these payments and are assessed on a case by case basis.
Other payment options are available increasing the number of payments making each payment less (example 6 payments over 6 months. 6 months is the maximum length of time allowed for a payment plan at this time.). Consult with our office if you wish this type of payment procedure.
The surface postal shipping from our warehouse to the customer and applicable taxes is due with the final payment and is required  within 10 days of notification of the completion of the order and prior to shipping from our warehouse.

All of the Polish stoneware pieces sold by Nicholson & Sterling Inc  have the trademark of the Ceramika Artystyczna factory stamped on the bottom of the item, indicating its authenticity as original hand painted and stamped Polish Stoneware. All pieces are of the highest export Quality # 1. The highest grade of Quality only sold to their distributors.
